Joel Farley
Associate Professor, Division of Pharmaceutical Outcomes and Polic

Joel Farley, PhD, is an associate professor in the Division of Pharmaceutical Outcomes and Policy at the UNC Eshelman School of Pharmacy. His research concentrations are in the areas of pharmacoepidemiology and pharmaceutical outcomes. His primary research interest relates to the evaluation of the public policies used to manage prescription medications. In particular, Dr. Farley is interested in the effect of Medicaid prescription cost-containment policies on vulnerable populations. His primary publication stream relates to examinations of the decision to use medications among select patient populations. These investigations are used to identify issues of effectiveness, access, and affordability of medications among different patient populations.
